One year ago today, Reflective Music and some of our affiliates produced the Against All Odds Show at Riff Music Lounge. It was our first big production with a mission to show that Chicago artists could actually come together for a night of great music with no drill or trap played, no fights breaking out, and actually have a good time. In this regard, we were very successful.
Since that night, we’ve put on numerous shows, released projects, held weekly showcases, won awards, and even opened for some internationally recognized artists. And after all of that, I asked myself two questions. 1) “What’s the next step?” 2) “What did Berry Gordy do back then?” Well, my people, here’s the answer.
